Meal support for those who need it, right here in Cambridge.
Daily Hot Meal Deliveries
Hot meals are delivered by friendly Cambridge volunteers Monday to Friday, arriving between 12 pm and 2 pm.
Our meal preparation partner is Habitat for Humanity Freeman Court, Te Awamutu.
Each meal costs $10.50, with most clients ordering 5 meals per week. Weekly automatic bank payments are set up once and continue automatically.
Extra meals for weekends can also be arranged.

Frozen & Chilled Meals
Frozen and chilled meals provide flexibility and choice for people who feel confident heating food safely in an oven or microwave.
The kitchen at Resthaven (Cambridge) prepares such meals:
• Frozen meals from $12.50 each
• Delivery once a week (Fridays)
• Collect in-person at the Resthaven General Store, Vogel Street
• Phone support available for orders

New World, Woolworths, Fresh Choice and Four Square stock a variety of frozen and chilled meal brands like Watties, Red Kitchen, Tomorrow's Meals, On The Menu, Strength Meals and Jess's Underground Kitchen, as well as their own home-branded versions.
Woolworths and New World provide home delivery (at around $14/order) and Milkrun is a new delivery service for times when you need grocery and pharmacy items delivered fast - usually within the hour - for $7 per order.
Enjoy Lunch & Local Support on Fridays
Some older people have limited opportunities to get out and socialise. To & Fro Companion Driving Service offers a free Friday shuttle for Cambridge locals who’d like a relaxed social outing at Resthaven on Vogel.
The shuttle takes clients to The Coffee Post Café for lunch, where they can enjoy friendly conversation and choose from a range of cabinet foods and daily specials (typically $10–$18).
After lunch, clients are welcome to stop by Resthaven’s General Store to select and purchase frozen meals or supermarket essentials to take home.
It’s an easy way to enjoy a good meal, connect with others, and pick up food for the week — and the shuttle ride, both to and from home, is completely free.
